The first trip to Bolivia was organized by Helmer Velez. Helmer was born and raised in Bolivia and came to California to attend chiropractic school at SCUHS. Inspired to bring chiropractic care to his native people, he worked hard to establish a relationship between SCUHS and Dr. Homer Firestone in Bolivia. As a result in August 2005, 9 students and 1 clinician, Dr. Cliff Tao, went to La Paz, Bolivia and treated over 3,000 patients.
Congrats! Keep up the good work. I’m proud of students that promote social service.
